The most natural question about magnetic buckles is simple: will it stay closed? Yes. The magnet helps the buckle snap into place, but the latch is what keeps it closed. Once fastened, the buckle locks mechanically and releases only when the side tabs are pressed. The magnet handles alignment. The latch handles closure. The rest of the product — webbing, stitching, adjustment, padding, and hardware — supports the complete system.
Our magnetic buckle is rated to 450 lb / 204 kg breaking strength. That number matters because it answers an important concern: easier fastening does not mean weaker gear.
