Introducing Soul and Tail
Pet Gear Made to Snap On and Go Explore
Meet Soul and Tail's first collection of dog collars, harnesses, and leashes — made for easier starts, comfortable movement, and the hours you spend outside together.
Every dog owner knows the moment.
Your dog hears something — a word, a sound, a shift in your posture — and the decision is already made on their end. The tail is moving. The body is at the door. They are ready before you have reached for the gear.
That moment is where Soul and Tail begins.
Not with a product category or a market gap, but with something much more familiar: the daily rhythm of life with a dog, and the small friction that gets in the way of it. The buckle that needs two free hands to close. The harness that turns into a negotiation when your dog will not stand still. The leash that works for one kind of walk but becomes awkward the moment the plan changes.
We built Soul and Tail around the idea that this friction is worth solving. That the gear between you and your dog should help the time begin, not slow it down. And that every detail — from the hardware to the webbing to the color of the strap — should feel like it was chosen on purpose.
Why the Name
Why the Name
Soul and Tail is named for the two sides of the relationship.
One side is full of thought, intention, and feeling. The other is honest, immediate, and always ready to go. Together, they say more than words usually can. That connection — quiet, daily, built through repetition and presence — is what we design around. Not the dramatic adventure. Not the perfect trail photo. The small moments that accumulate into something real: the walk before work, the detour through the park, the routine that becomes the part of the day you both look forward to most.
Our brand line, Snap On. Go Explore., comes from the same place. It describes the experience we want every Soul and Tail product to create: gear that is simple to put on, secure while worn, and easy enough to take off that it never becomes a reason to skip the walk.

The Design Choices Behind the Gear
The most repeated moment in life with a dog is not the trail. It is the door.
Getting the gear on, getting outside, and getting moving. That sequence happens every single day, often more than once, and it happens when your dog is at their least cooperative — excited, spinning, already thinking about what is waiting on the other side.
That is why our first collection is designed with magnetic buckles. The two halves find each other without needing perfect alignment. The magnet guides, the latch locks, and the whole thing closes with one hand in the time it takes your dog to turn around again. Once fastened, the buckle holds mechanically — rated to 450 lb / 204 kg of breaking strength — and releases only when the side tabs are pressed. Easier to close does not mean easier to open by accident.
Beyond the buckle, every detail in the line is there for a reason. The jacquard-woven webbing carries color through the structure of the fabric rather than printing it on the surface, so it holds up through weather and washing. The aluminum hardware is lightweight, anodized, and smooth at the edges. The padding on the harnesses is shaped for movement, not just softness. The reflective elements are built into the stitching rather than added as an afterthought. Each of these things is small on its own.
Together, they make the gear feel like it was thought through.
Daily and Trail
Two Series, One Line
Soul and Tail's first collection is organized around two ways of moving with your dog.
The Daily Series is for the walks that happen every day. The Daily Fit Collar is designed for all-day wear, with a magnetic buckle, an aluminum A-ring, a built-in tag silencer, and an AirTag holder. The Daily Roam Harness is a hinged everyday harness with dual A-rings and a vegan leather back handle, built for the rhythm of daily outings. The Daily Step Leash is a multi-function leash that shifts between hand-held, crossbody, waist-worn, and tie-out use through a sliding magnetic buckle — one leash that adapts to how the day moves rather than asking you to adapt to it.
The Trail Series is for the days that go further. The Trail Leap Harness is built for harder terrain: wider chest and back panels, a foam-padded lift handle, three leash attachment points, and a belly strap that closes the gap left by standard H-harness designs. The Trail Dash Leash is longer, with a built-in bungee section that absorbs sudden pulls, dual padded handles for close and extended control, and an auto-lock aluminum carabiner rated for outdoor use.
Most people live somewhere between both series. A normal week might include short neighborhood loops, errands, a longer park visit, and one real outdoor day. The line is designed to cover all of it without making you choose a single mode of life with your dog.
What We Are Building Toward
Soul and Tail is a new brand, and this is our first collection.
We are not trying to be the loudest gear on the market or the most technically extreme. We are trying to make products that feel genuinely considered — built for real dogs, real routines, and real people who want the gear between them and their dog to feel easy, secure, and worth choosing again. The colors are inspired by the outdoors but designed to be wearable. The hardware is chosen for performance but kept light.
The overall feel is one of quiet confidence: gear that does not need to announce itself, because it works.
If you are reading this, you probably already know what it feels like when life with your dog is working well. The walk that turns into something longer. The moment your dog settles in beside you on a trail you have both been on before. The ordinary Tuesday that ends up being one of the better parts of the week.
That is what we are designing for.
